Hey loves,
Today I have a Festive/Party look ready for you guys.
I normally don’t put a lot of effort in my makeup for Christmas, New Year or any kind of party but I was playing around with makeup and thought this would be a great look for the holidays and also easy to recreate!
BASE
First I start with priming my face and for this I use the Maybelline Babyskin Instant Fatigue Blur. What a mouthful to say, haha. I really like this ‘primer’ because it gives my face a natural glow, which is not to overpowering. It does have that silicone smell to it which I particularly can handle, since it disappears once the primer has been set into your face.
Next up I fill in any gaps in my brows and give them a better shape than their natural one. When I was younger, I made this huge mistake of plucking toooooo many hairs and I still suffer from the consequences, even though it has been about 5 years since I did that. They’re very uneven now, so I have to draw and fill them in to make them even.
Last but not least for the base, I’m going to apply some foundation with my new favourite brush. I’m applying my Catrice All Matt Plus foundation with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. For this look i’m going for a light/medium coverage but I’m making sure that the face looks even and beautifully blended.
EYES
For the eyes I’m using multiple products.
First put ‘Smoothly’ from the I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate palette all over the eyes to make the blending process easier.
I’m starting by combining 3 blush shades of my Yves Rocher Beauty Box, to get a warm terracotta colour but with a hint of pink, but you can use any warm brown/pink shade for this. Put this combination in the crease to warm up the eyes. Next use Choc-Fest (Naked Chocolate) and apply this at the outer corner of the eyes and gently make the outer corner a bit darker.
Next I will use the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Eternal Gold and I will apply this all over the lid. After this I’m going back in with the brown/pink shade into the crease and making the outer corner a bit darker again with Choc-Fest. Now you can start blending as if your life depends on it and make it perfect. For the lower lash line you can use the colour from your crease combined with some of the gold. Last but not least, finish this look ย by highlighting your inner corner and brow bone with ‘Adorable’ or any highlighter that you prefer!
2: Smoothly –> All over the eyes
1: Combination Yves Rocher Blushes –> Crease and lower lash line
3: Choc-Fest –> Outer corners
4: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Eternal Gold –> All over the lid
5: Adorable: Inner corner and brow bone
BRONZER & HIGHLIGHT
Pick your prefered bronzer but make sure it matches the colour scheme of your eye makeup. I’m using my bronzer from theย Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette in Ashy Radiance and apply it where bronzer should be applied. For highlight I’m using the same shade as my inner corners and brow bone, ‘Adorable’ and lightly apply this on the cheekbones but if you want to, than highlight your highlight!
Natural glow but very stunning!
EYELINER – MASCARA & FALSIES
Finishing the eyes with a wing that can cut the turkey and some false lashes from Ardell in 110 Natural. Curl the false lashes with your natural lashes and apply some mascara.
LIPSTICK
For lipstick I have two options. If you want to go for a more nude and natural lip, I would go for a colour such as MAC’s Mehr. If ย you really wanna get festive, than I would recommend a beautiful red lipstick like MAC’s Ruby Woo or this red lipstick from HEMA.
Finished look:
This is the finished look. I’m sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but I promise you it will be stunning! I really liked this look when I wore it and I will continue to love it when I recreate this look in the future!
That’s a wrap loves!
What did you think of this look and will you be recreating this in the future? Also, if you have some tips for me on how to become better at eyemakeup, make sure to let me know!
Lots of love and see you next time!
