Nabla Cosmetics Individual Eyeshadows

Hello loves,
Today I want to talk about something really exciting. If you have been with me since the beginning, you will know that Nabla eyeshadows have been on my wishlist since 22th of December. So I am pretty delighted to finally review them for you. Without further ado, here are my Nabla Eyeshadows!

I bought 3 different finishes: mattes, shimmers and their celestial eyeshadows. Which is basically a mixture of shadow and glitter! I have a few of their new ‘Freedomination’ collection and others that are in the permanent line. I will divide this review per finish and talk about blendability, pigmentation and etcetera. Today I will review the following colours: caramel, petra, fahrenheit, clementine, atmosphere, water dream, virgin island and Alchemy.Nabla-eyeshadow

Nabla Cosmetics is an Italian indie brand, cruelty-free and mostly vegan. Some of their products do contain beeswax, so check the description when buying! Their individuals are slightly more expensive than Makeup Geek shadows and price varies between finishes (matte, shimmer, duochrome and glitter metallic) but usually, the price is €6.50 or €9.90. Their pans are bigger than for example MAC individuals and contain 2.5g while MAC eyeshadows contain 1.3g. So in my opinion that justifies the price. Swatches can be found at the end of the post.

Mattes: Caramel, Petra and Fahrenheit
Mattes are often the hardest finish to make and a good matte eyeshadow is hard to find. There is a fine line between the amount of pigmentation and how good it will blend. I must admit that Nabla really nailed this. The mattes or not too loosely pressed in the pan but also not too dense. This combination gives a pretty good colour pay off. I love the blendability of these mattes. They are very rich and creamy. Easy and smooth to blend and look amazing on the eyes.
Caramel is a light caramel brown with a warm undertone. Petra is a reddish brown with a warm undertone and finally, Fahrenheit is a reddish burgundy shade. This shade is a little drier than the others but still performs well!

Shimmers: Atmosphere and Clementine.
These shimmers are amazing. They have a more dense feeling when touching them so you have to layer them while applying BUT I have something to say that is quite special about these shimmers. Usually, when applying a shimmer shadow, I always use some kind of fixing spray to intensify the colour pay off. I do not have to do that with these shimmers. I was gobsmacked by this fact because I even use fixing spray with my Anastasia shimmers. They don’t have any fallout and blend just like the mattes, effortlessly.
Atmosphere is a light green shimmer with a golden sheen to it. Such a beautiful and unique shade. I really like this one. Clementine is a muted tangerine shade with a golden sheen. Super pretty as well!

Celestial: Water Dream, Virgin Island and Alchemy
Nabla Cosmetics has only recently named some shadows ‘celestial’. It used to be Glitter Metallic and Duochrome Metallic (as far as I’m aware). They are more of a topcoat but you can use them as a normal eyeshadow if you want. The Celestial line is a combination of glitter/regular shadow. Some are duochrome, some are not. The Celestial individuals are extremely pigmented, immensely pigmented. You can definitely see the glitter and this au contraire to the mattes and shimmers do have some fall-out. They feel like a cream when you touch them and the slightest touch gives of a lot of product on your finger. You do not need much when using this finish. Like the mattes and shimmers, they blend amazing and have a good wear time.
Water Dream is almost transparent. It has a pearly colour and lots of reflective particles. Water Dream is a normal glitter shade. Virgin Island is a very suitable name for this shade. It has a sheer base and is packed with turquoise and even a little bit of lilac glitter. It’s not entirely a duochrome but due to the lilac glitter, can be considered as one.
Alchemy is, I think, everyone’s favourite shade. It has a lilac base and lots of blue glitters. This shade is honestly so unique and so mesmerising. I love it to bits

So I have spoken about the finishes and blendability. Honestly, nothing about these shadows have been negative for me. I really do like all of these shades. Alchemy, Atmosphere and Caramel are my favourites! So on to swatches.nabla-swatchesnabla-swatches-part-two

I bought all of these individuals on Boozyshop since this is the least expensive way to get them in my country. You can always go to the official Nabla website as well of course.
I hope you enjoyed this review and since this one is so long, I will make another one with looks created with these shadows. I will definitely buy some more individuals by Nabla and maybe even other products.
Lots of love and see you next time
