Today is Loose Highlighter day! I will be reviewing the brand Meraki Cosmetics in two posts. The first is a review of their Loose Highlighters in Aurora, Hypnos and Aphrodite. So let’s begin and get glowing!

Meraki Cosmetics is a Dutch brand and was founded by Kim Ter Stege. I’ve known Kim from her blogging days and now from her Instagram and youtube. Be sure to take a look because she creates amazing looks! The brand only has Loose highlighters and chunky glitters for now but I think that will expand soon!

I bought the loose highlighters during black Friday and they were only around €6 instead of the normal price €17.99, such a bargain! I have the colours Aurora, Aphrodite and Hypnos. They looked light enough for my skin tone and I wanted to have something different instead of gold or neutral highlighters.

The packaging is a transparent jar with a black lid. The logo is written on top of the black lid in a beautiful and refined font. On the back of the jar, you can find the ingredients and the shade names. The highlighters are separated by a sifter which avoids making a mess out of yourselves! You get 4.5 grams which may not sound like a lot but you don’t need much product with loose highlighters. Also, all of the highlighters are cruelty-free!
What I really like about the shade range is that I personally think that every skin tone can find the perfect highlighters! The range suits the fairest to the darkest!

As you can see the highlighters have micro glitters in them but they are very finely milled. This makes the highlighters sparkly and shimmery instead of natural and wet looking. These are not natural, everyday highlighters so are aware! They do look stunning in pictures though. The highlighters are very pigmented and you can use it in various ways. You can make it very subtle, build it up or make it even more intense by wetting your brush! Overall, it’s a great versatile product that can be used on the eyes, face and body.

I am really happy with my purchase of the Loose Highlighters by Meraki Cosmetics and I have fallen head over heels for Aphrodite. I’m definitely going to purchase more in the future because they look amazing for a night out or pictures!
