Hello dear readers,
Today I have prepared a very special blog post. A challenge so hard most people fail. A challenge so funny, you die whilst laughing. This is the Boyfriend Does My Makeup Challenge!

My boyfriend isn’t involved when it comes to my blog because quite frankly makeup is at the bottom of his interests, haha. However, he does support me every step of the way and is happy to help me when I need him for something. There aren’t a lot of challenges that float around the internet that I thoroughly enjoy but the ‘Boyfriend does my makeup challenge’ definitely sounded appealing to me. So, I suggested that it would be fun to do this together and Florian agreed! We had a lot of fun whilst doing the ‘Boyfriend Makeup Knowledge Tag‘, so we both thought this might be another fun challenge to do. I don’t know what I was thinking and how on earth this was going to end well, but it was a lot of fun to do this!

I laid out some products (I had this huge bag with me when I went to his house) and sat down. We made sure there were no mirrors of any kind, so I truly didn’t know how I looked until the very end. I did help him with the order of the makeup and will put a product list down below!

• Primer:
  He didn’t use one because I forgot to take one with me. Oops.
• Foundation:
  The foundation he used was the Catrice All Matt Plus foundation (review). This foundation has a beautiful semi-matte finish but it was a tad too dark for me as you will see in the pictures. I could feel that he was drawing shapes on my face and just hoped that it wasn’t a penis.

• Eyeshadows:
  Florian used the Nabla Dreamy Eyeshadow palette (review) and the Nabla individual in Alchemy (review) on my eyelids. He applied this so gently, with barely any pressure, that I can still feel the bristles of the brush tickling my eyes. He was afraid of poking my eyes out. Gotta love it. I really liked the pink look with the blue reflect from the Alchemy shade!
• Bronzer:
  Contrary to the eyes, he went really heavy handed with the bronzer. Like really heavy handed. I couldn’t see it when it happened but he said everything he had to say when he said: “shit, that’s not good”. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life when he said that. He used the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light (review). Remember I said ‘Light’ and scroll down.
• Highlighter:
  Next up he used one of my favourite highlighters (at that time) which is the Fenty Beauty Killawat duo in Lightning Dust and Crystal Fire (review). He used a combination of both and when I like how it looks when I look at the pictures! Florian mainly used this on the apples of my cheeks and every since then I started doing that as well, although a bit more subtle.
• Eyebrows:
  Ladies and Gentlemen. Florian has turned me into Frida Kahlo. I present to you, the Frida Kahlo Uni-Brow. It has made a comeback.

• Rest of the face:
  I do not know what happened after the brows. I think his artistic side got the better of him after seeing me with a Frida Kahlo Uni-Brow. Or his patience ran out. Probably the latter. He started using yellow, purple, red and when I felt something like an eyeliner on my cheeks, I knew I had come undone.
• Lips:
  For the lips, Florian used two products. Here I was thinking he would use one. Here I was thinking he might use a glossy lip because he applied something sticky on my lips. But no. He used the Essence Matt matt matt lipstick in Pink Up Your Life (review) and the NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Celestial Star.

Here is the finished look. What do you think? I think I could go out with this in a heartbeat! Just kidding. However, I had such an amazing laugh as did my boyfriend!
This was a really fun challenge and I actually quite dig the Frida Kahlo uni-brow!
