Ladies and gentlemen,
We’re heading towards warm weather and something called ‘Summer’ and that means that I will be transitioning my makeup from powders to something more lightweight such as cream products. Today, I present the first product to achieve that luminous and lightweight finish. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow in Perla.
Being a dry skinned gal, cream products truly are a must for my skin type. Powders just make me look flakey and cakey. I’ve been searching and researching more about cream products and when I saw a highlighter so stunning and so dewy passing my eyeballs, I knew I had to have it. As most of you might know, I don’t like metallic highlighters that are too intense and leave a stripe on your face. It just screams unflattering to me. I’m always on the hunt for the best glossy/wet looking highlighter that blends into the skin seamlessly and is beaming once it hits the light. I think I might have found the one.
My ideal packaging for a liquid highlighter has come true. A squeezy tube. What more could I ask for? That’s right, nothing. A squeezy tube is incredibly easy to use and ideal for travelling. It’s simple and efficient and I like that Anastasia BH thought about that because I imagine that it must be really handy for makeup artists as well. It comes with a box that has the ingredients listed and some other information. The Liquid Glow is cruelty-freeย and free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. You get 20ml (more of this later) and promises to make your dewy dreams come true.
I took some pictures to show you how Perla looks when she’s out of the sun and when she reflects the light. I hope you see the luminosity and the reflection because it’s insane. The Liquid Glow is extremely pigmented and even though you get 20ml (to some people that’s not a lot) this little tube will last you an eternity because you only need one tiny drop on each side of your face.
The formula is very creamy whilst not being too watery. It’s slightly thick in consistency and this makes it easy to apply it to the face without it dripping to areas that it doesn’t belong. However, the Liquid Glow does dry down almost immediately where you first apply it, so I do recommend putting some product on the back of your hand and then applying and blending it with your fingers or sponge immediately. When you do this trick, it will blend seamlessly into the skin. Otherwise, you will end up with a patch of colour that is impossible to blend. It doesn’t disruptย my foundation underneath of transfer. Last but not least, it’s not glittery in the slightest. It doesn’t have chunky glitter particles and I love it!
I really like the Liquid Glow by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It doesn’t look heavy or cakey on the skin and instead looks seamlessly blended in. It also reflects the light so beautifully!
I’m a fan of this product but what do you think? The Liquid Glow in Perla retails for ยฃ26 and is available on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website.
Lots of love and see you next time!
