The Ofra Liquid Lipsticks were being so raved about when liquid lipsticks were becoming a hype a few years ago. However, I never gave in to the hype. Until now.
Ofra Cosmetics. Some people say Ofra is the brand of liquid lipsticks and blinding highlighters. However, I haven’t been hearing a lot about them recently. The last thing I remember is their second part of their collaboration with Nikkieututorials and I do hope they come out with amazing collections in the future.
Miami Fever and Charmed are both two colours out of a past collaboration. Miami Fever is the colour that I have been wanting forever. You might’ve seen it passing by in wishlist posts and so on. I have been wanting in since forever. Miami Fever was a collaboration with KathleenLights and is currently part of the permanent collection. Charmed was a collaboration with MannyMUA. I have to admit that I don’t watch MannyMUA at all but when I saw some swatches of this collab on other blogger reviews, I knew I had to get it!
The Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks have a very standard packaging. There’s nothing really special about it. It comes in the standard cylindrical tube with a doe-foot applicator and a black cap. The applicator is nice and fluffy and isn’t too flexible. I don’t like it when applicators are too flexible and they just flop around, haha. The logo of the brand is printed on the tube and the shade names can be found on the bottom of the tube. The Ofra Liquid Lipsticks retail for €11.95 on Beauty Bay and are also available on Boozyshop.
Even if the packaging isn’t that special, then the formula makes up for that. Ladies and gentlemen, I have found my favourite liquid lipstick formula up to date. The hype was true and justified. The formula of the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks is amazing. It’s creamy and quite thick in consistency contrary to other liquid lipsticks which tend to be quite watery. Even though is quite a thick, creamy consistency, I feel like it has a touch of an emollient ingredient in the formula and therefore the liquid lipsticks glide onto the lips like butter. That also means that it leaves a bit of a shine at first application, however, after 1-2 minutes the liquid lipstick starts to dry down and that shine disappears. It’s almost as if that emollient touch dissolves whilst drying down. The substance has a very light vanilla scent which is barely noticeable and doesn’t linger once applied.
Liquid lipsticks are notorious for their capacity to suck the moisture out of your lips and leave them looking like a butthole and that’s where Ofra really distinguishes themselves. Even though Charmed and Miami Fever dry down to a matte finish, they still feel extremely comfortable and non-drying. Which makes these liquid lipsticks so pleasant and lightweight to wear. Charmed and Miami Fever don’t crumble off your lips after wearing them for quite some time and they fade naturally. The pigmentation, as you can see, is amazing and very opaque! These are non-patchy whatsoever.
Charmed: A mauve pink with brown undertones
Miami Fever: A burnt terracota orange
Hello. I don’t know if I have mentioned this already but Miami Fever is my favourite colour EVER. I’m in love with this colour. It’s everything I could ever want and need, damn. Also, Charmed is such a stunning nude shade for my particular skin tone. I’m not too sure how it would look on dark skin.
Are the Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks worth the hype? Absolutely! I love them so much and Charmed has been my go-to everyday colour since I’ve bought it. Miami Fever will be cherished forever and I see myself repurchasing it! The Ofra Liquid Lipsticks are available on Beauty Bay and Boozyshop.
What do you think of Charmed and Miami Fever? Do you own anything by Ofra?
Lots of love and see you next time!
