Catrice has been blowing my mind and wallet lately with all their amazing products. Today I will be reviewing their Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer and let you know if they’re any good!

The Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer is supposed to be a highly pigmented liquid lipstick but with a lacquered shine finish, instead of the usual matte finish of a liquid lipstick. Catrice also promises a waterproof, non-bleeding and non-sticky formula with a comfortable wear. Those are quite the claims and today is the day to find out whether or not the Lip Lacquers can live up to them.

The Catrice Pure Pigment Lip Lacquer comes in a long and thin tube with a black cap. It has the name of the product and the logo of the brand embossed on the tube, as well as other information. The unfortunate thing about the packaging is that the shade names are to be found on a sticker on the black screw cap. I usually get rid of those stickers for the aesthetic of the product. The packaging tend to remind me of the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. You get a doe-foot apllicator which is thin but stil flexible and very precise. It is very easy to carry in a bag or purse whenever you might need a touch up. The Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer contains 4,8 mL / 0,16 fl.oz and there are 8 colours to chose from. I’ve chosen the colours Sand Caramel and Rosie’s Peony. Nude & pink.

The formula of the Pure Pigments Lip Lacquers is very thick but smooth and buttery at the same time. It isn’t sticky in the slightest which is always nice with a gloss consistency. The texture is also velvet-like and you know when applying the lip lacquer that it will leave a stain. Sand Caramel and Rosie’s Peony smell fruity. It’s a bit overpowering for me but I do have a very sensitive nose. Furthermore, the lip lacquers are very pigmented and opaque. At least the colours that I own. There is a lot of transfer, hence the glossy finish, so don’t expect this to last any longer then 2-3 hours. However, it is easy to reapply.
Rosie’s Peony
A beautiful mix between dusty rose and fushia. Love the slight purple undertone. Very opaque and pigmented. I love this shade.

 

Sand Caramel
Your typical nude colour with a warm undertone. Also very pigmented and opaque. Fits many makeup looks because of the neutrality. Very beautiful.

 

I’m in love with the Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer from Catrice. It’s overall a very good performing product with lots of pigment, opacity and comfortability. I’m definitely going to take a look at the blue and purple shade of this collection!
