Hey guys,
As you are reading this, I am currently residing in Dublin, Ireland for a week. Students in Belgium usually get a ‘free week’ after the exam period in January and how to better spend that week than to go on vacation? Today I’m showing you what I packed in my minimalistic travel bag!
Skincare
I’m keeping skincare very very very simple and very minimal. The most important thing is moisturising so I am taking a moisturiser from a Dutch/Belgian retailer with me. It’s my current favourite and very cheap. I’m also taking my Pixi Glow Tonic with me because I have been testing it and I absolutely love it so far. Last but not least, I’m packing my Catrice Lip Treatment with me to moisturise the lips.
Makeup
I’m taking some of my favourite products with me. Such as the Catrice Dewy Glow Fixing Spray and their Nude Glow Primer. However, I will also be testing a new foundation, The It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination and I’m very curious to see how it works. I’m also taking my ride or die concealer, the Catrice Liquid Camouflage, with me and the Maybelline Fit Me as a back-up.
Furthermore, the Essence Compact powder and the Hourglass Volume 4 palette will provide everything I need to set and sculpt the face. Essence sets the face whilst the Hourglass palette provides blush, bronzer and a highlight but I am also taking my MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Double Gleam with me for a slightly lighter highlight.
I am keeping the eyes and lips quite simple and minimalistic. I’m only taking mascara and an eyebrow pencil with me. The Lancome Grandiose mascara has been my favourite for the last couple of weeks and the NYX Micro Brow Pencil is a ride or die product. For lips, I first had about 9-10 lip products in my bag but I decided to narrow it down a bit, haha. I decided to take a lip liner, two lipsticks and lip gloss with me. The Lime Crime Velvetine Lip Liner in Angel has been an absolute favourite of mine. I love the slight apricot tint it has and I love to combine this with a lip balm. It’s easy to use and very travel-friendly. The next items are the Anastasia Beverly Hills lipstick in Kiss which is a go-to colour for me and the MAC lipstick in Mehr for days where I want to wear a muted pink/berry. Last but not least, I am packing the Lime Crime Wet Cherry Lip Gloss in Cherry Cream in my bag. It’s a mini version from a gift set so very easy to take with me and a beautiful colour.
Clothing
Again, keeping it very minimalistic but very warm because I have looked at the weather forecast online and it appears to be muted weather but rainy. My outfit to go to the airport and roam around in Dublin the first day is quite simple. I’m wearing a jeans with a very comfortable sweater and a t-shirt underneath as an extra layer. I’m also wearing some shoes (obviously) which are my black basic converses. Furthermore, I packed one extra jeans. This one is a bit more of a mom-jeans model. A bit looser and comfortable. I’m also taking two extra sweaters and 2 extra t-shirts. I was doubting to take another pair of shoes with me but I eventually ended up not taking them with me. Other than that, I packed some basics such as socks and underwear.
Other
Other important things that I am packing are a charger for my phone and my wallet ofcourse. Also, my toothbrush, shampoo and soap are coming with me. I took the liberty of buying a little travel set. That way I do not have to take huge tubes with me and I can save some space. I am also taking my e-reader with me to read a book on the aeroplane and a pack of cards to enjoy ourselves haha. I think that is it? I feel like I am forgetting something, haha. Ah, of course. I’m definitely taking my camera with me ๐
Little update. KFC was our first stop ๐
So that’s it lovelies. I hope you somewhat enjoyed this post? I’m never too sure what to think of these type of posts and if people enjoy reading them, haha. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to see what I will be up to. I am hoping to share some of my adventures in Dublin. Anyway, I’m excited to leave and I’ll see you in a week!
Lots of love and see you next time!
