Juvia’s Place The Tribe Palette

Hey loves,
Today’s post is going to be a review of the (somewhat) new Juvia’s Place palette. It has lovely earthy shades such as green and orange and I was really intrigued by the unique colour scheme. Today I will tell you what I think of this palette.

So the Tribe palette is actually another birthday gift from last month, so this is not a part of my low buy since it was gifted. I still have a lot of gifts to go through and I’m hoping it will end soon, haha. Anyway, this is one of the palettes that was on my birthday wishlist and my family was lovely enough to get it for me. This palette retails for $20 on Juviasplace.com and I think it is coming to some UK retailers soon.

This palette is so unique. A lot more unique than you would think at first sight. It seems a bit unexciting but the shades, once used on the eyes or swatches, will take your breath away. The brown looking shade in this palette, Ashanti, is actually a mossy-green and incredibly stunning. I don’t have any other shade like that in my collection. This is probably one of my favourite colour combinations of a palette since Nabla’s Soul Blooming Palette. The palette is very cohesive and every shade works with each other.

Mattes are a bit dry but not too soft and very pigmented. All of the mattes blend really nice, except for San which tends to be a bit patchy if you’re not careful but you can fix the patchiness by adding a first layer of the colour and blending it, then completing your look and finally patting some of San on top of the region where you applied it first. The mattes don’t have a lot of fall-out but some do have some kick-back, especially Ashanti. Maasai has to be build up a bit because it’s such a light shade, but it’s easy and fast to build up and really stunning.

The shimmers are really pigmented and feel buttery to the touch. I did use the shimmers dry and without a glitter glue and the pigment was amazing. I usually need some glitter glue to make a shimmer pop and get my desired intensity but I didn’t have to with these shimmers. Some of them have a bit of fall-out such as Kuba, but I don’t mind that. The shimmer shades also have quite a good staying power and they stay metallic after hours of wear.

If you have wanted a green palette since the light of day, I would highly recommend this one. The colours are unique and the formula is amazing. I prefer this palette to their Zulu and Magic palette actually.
That’s it for this review of the Tribe palette by Juvia’s Place, what do you think?
Lots of love and see you next time!

  1. Shades in this palette are so beautiful, I love that there is something for daily wear, but also more fun, bold colours for fun looks. I didn’t try anything from Juvia’s place still, but I need one of their palettes definitely, everyone on social media raves about them. Great review. xx

    1. They’re definitely a very nice brand. I have loved the Zulu and Magic palette in the past and Tribe is a nice addition to my collection. They’re always very versatile and I definitely recommend! I hope they become more accessible in Europe though. Thank you for reading lovely! xx
