Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation

Hey loves,
The conceal and define concealer, do you remember that one? It was definitely a mess on my under eyes. I don’t know what I was thinking when I bought the foundation version but here we are and today I will be reviewing it for you!

The Conceal and Define Concealer was extremely matte and dry on my skin. It just didn’t work. One of you (please help me remember who it was) recommended this foundation and finally, I decided to give it a go. Makeup Revolution says this foundation is lightweight whilst offering buildable coverage in 50 skin-true shades (50!) and is designed to suit every skin type and tone. The formula is said to be oil-free but still creamy and comfortable with a demi-matte finish that won’t settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches. So, demi-matte, long lasting and no creasing? Let’s see how it went.

The packaging is really pretty. I love the pink colour scheme and the way it looks the same as the concealer but bigger. The bottle actually feels very heavy and is made of glass. It feels a lot more luxurious than one might think. The Conceal and Define Foundation also has a doe-foot applicator which is big, massive, immense. The foundation contains 23ml and retails for โ‚ฌ10. Yes, โ‚ฌ10. As said before, there are fifty shades to choose from and I have the shade F2 which is for fair skin with yellow undertones. This is one of the only foundations that actually suit my skin tone the best. It’s almost a perfect match.

BUT is the formula any good for dry skin? Guys, I have good news. From all the matte foundations I have ever used, this is the one that I actually like/love. First of all, I love to apply this with a brush instead of a sponge. The foundation is indeed creamy and blends out beautifully without being streaky or patchy. The finish is also demi-matte but I do experience a bit of a luminescence. It’s not fully matte which I can appreciate. The coverage is definitely there. It’s not full coverage but it can be if you build it up. I would be careful not to put too many layers onto the skin as it can get a bit cakey. It’s also very long wearing but it does cling to dry patches to longer you wear it. It’s nothing disastrous compared to other matte foundations that have separated and creased like crazy. They usually settle into my fine lines like crazy and this one does that as well, but significantly less than other foundations. It also doesn’t make my face feel itchy or irritated.

So, that guys concludes this review. This foundation definitely made it to my favourites and I found out that I love to combine this with the It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination Cream!
Have you ever tried this foundation? What do you think of it?
Lots of love and see you soon!

  1. It looks so good on your skin, color is definitely perfect match. I just got new Artdeco foundation that I’ll be testing out, so I don’t need new one, but this one seems really interesting. I would definitely buy it when I use up one foundation from my stash. xx

    1. It’s definitely interesting. It’s been a long time since a matte foundation has worked for my skin type. I’m really interested about Artdeco because I hear so little about that brand. Really excited about your review! This foundation is really nice, definitely recommend! xx
