Remember my review about the individual vivid pigments from Coloured Raine? Turns out they don’t sell them anymore. So, I decided to buy the palette before the Brexit happens and I have to pay customs, haha. Without further ado, the review!
I know, I know. Buying this palette when I already have half of these shades might seem a bit excessive BUT I cannot buy the other shades anymore AND I don’t have the remaining shades in my collection. So, I honestly think it justifies buying this palette, right? I think? I’m not sure, haha. Anywho, I’m really glad I bought the palette though. I was really impressed when I first tried the Vivid Pigments and I have used them several times since purchasing, if not in every look. I was curious to see if the palette has the same quality and if the dupes of my singles are just as good?
The packaging is really cute. From the cardboard packaging to the actual palette. It’s a mixture of colours with a foiled film which reflects the inside of the palette. The inside of the palette has a beautiful exterior and has a mirror inside which is big and really handy. You get sixteen shades that are all cruelty-free. The palette is not entirely vegan. Fifteen shades are vegan except for Unbothered which is not. I already had the shades Lemon Drop, Splash, Party Drip, Sauce, Level Up, Vibez, Drip Drop and Neo Blue. This palette retails for €44,00 and is available on Beauty Bay.
The formula is pretty consistent with the individuals. The mattes are very soft and are really pigmented. These shades are very dusty but that’s due to the fact that they’re pigments and not eyeshadows. Pigments lack any kind of binder and are dustier. These have a lot of kick-up when hitting the pan but the fall-out is kept to a minimum. The pigment is insane though. I feel like they are even more pigmented than the individuals I have. Despite being extremely pigmented, the shades blend out very nicely and never turn muddy. If you follow the colour spectrum at least. I find them really easy to work with and they pack a punch on the eyes. Some shades such as Squad, Yacht Life, Level Up and Purp Smurf will become patchy if you’re not careful. They’re a bit more finicky, so take your time with them. But when you are, they’re absolutely beautiful.
Comparing the individuals versus the palette is quite easy. The formula is the same and so are most of the shades. Party Drip is definitely a lot more vibrant in the palette and Splash is a tad more orange. All the other shades are the same. Since these are so dusty, I think I will go through the individuals quite rapidly, especially because I use them so much, haha. My favourite shades are Sauce, Party Drip, Jet Set, Cute and Level Up. It’s also worth mentioning that the pink tones and purples will stain the eyelids. I have experienced it a few times.
SWATCHES WITH NAMES
I think it’s not hard to make up what I think of this palette. I really adore all of the colours and the formula is pretty bomb. There’s such a wide range of looks that you can create and I love the fact that it is an all matte palette. I think this palette is definitely worth the money and I do recommend it.
What do you think of this palette and the looks I created?
Lots of love and see you next time!
