Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer Review

Hey loves, oh lordy lord, how long has it been since I have uploaded a makeup review? I honestly can’t remember what the last product was. Ah, I scrolled back. It was the Lisa Eldridge Lipstick on the 9th of December. Time for another review! And maybe my new favourite concealer?

I bought this little guy back in September and featured it in my last Low Buy Haul before the No-Buy began. I was browsing through Boozyshop and realised that they had a hydrating version of the Conceal & Define foundation and the concealer. We all know what happened with me and the original concealer… You don’t? Check out my review, haha. I actually did end up liking the original C&D foundation and I have almost emptied it. So when I came across the hydrating versions I was like ‘Let’s give it another shot’ and I did. A review on the foundation will be coming soon.

The Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate claims to have a lightweight finish that’s supposed to moisturising. It offers all-day hydration thanks to hyaluronic acid and covers blemishes, counteracts dark circles and evens the skin tone in general. The concealer is designed for drier skin with a sheer, satin finish that won’t settle into fine lines.

The packaging is really simple and similar to the OG Conceal & Define. It has big doe foot applicator which I actually quite like haha. It contains 13 grams of product, which is about the same in millilitres apparently and retails for โ‚ฌ7,95. I bought the shade C3 which is described as for fair skin tones with a cool undertone. I’m actually never a cool undertone but it was the closest match that I could see online. They have expanded their shade range to 50 shades, which is incredible and I really want to try C2,5 or C3,5 which is a yellow or neutral undertone. I can get away with C3 though. On the bottle, it says Medium to Full coverage but on the website, it says sheer satin finish? Oh well.

Anyway, the formula is.. beautiful? Omg, I’m really surprised. I really disliked the formula of the OG C&D concealer but this one is stunning. It has a beautiful satin finish that doesn’t require setting it but you can set it without it looking heavy or cakey. It never emphasises my dry under-eyes. It’s definitely medium to full coverage but in the most natural way because it melts into the skin. It’s so creamy and blends out beautifully without patchiness or any other issues. I also love it to cover up any blemishes or weird things on my skin.

The quality of this concealer is really good and it has taken over my life haha. I’ve been using this every single day since September and because there’s so much product in the tube, I have only started to run out of it this week (why I wanted to review it). I think it has even replaced my Catrice Liquid Camouflage concealer. That being said, I still have to buy this concealer online and my Catrice concealer is more accessible in my local and very close drugstore. So I will purchase it again but only if I do an order for all the things that I want to replace. I will probably buy multiple ones then. It’s so good.

Anyway, that’s it for today’s review. I really hoped you enjoyed reading about this lovely concealer and found the information that you were looking for. I really enjoy this concealer. You can buy it here or on Beauty Bay or on Boozyshop depending on where you are on this globe. Have you tried it yet? Let me know!
Lots of love and see you next time!

  2. Wow Iโ€™m impressed – this looks like a great concealer. I love satin finishes so I may need to consider this when I work through a few more concealers in my collection!
