Ranking My Concealer Collection From Worst to Best

Hey loves and welcome back!
Concealers, concealers, concealers. I think it might be my favourite product to review and try out. Today I will be ranking my concealer collection from worst to best. Want to know more? Read on!

Worst

First of all, the concealers that I really hate. Well, strongly dislike at least. Some concealers just don’t work man. Whether it’s the formula or the shade, or both. Also, I just want to mention that I have tried all these concealer but I have obviously emptied and decluttered some. That’s why I don’t have pictures of all the concealers.

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

Oh my goodness, who remembers my review of this concealer? I wanted to check out the hype and was severly disappointed. Way too matte and drying. Creasing like nobody’s business. Definitely the worst concealer I have ever tried.

E.l.f camo concealer

Another hype. Another fail. First of all, the shade was way too light and there was no way I could wear it without looking silly. It was very full coverage but the formula was way too dry. It enhances texture, dry texture and fine lines. Nope.

Colourpop No Filter Concealer

This was another big no. I’m sorry for all the negativity but I have to be honest. Again, the formula was way too matte and the shade too light. The shade is obviously my fault but the formula, wow. Not suitable for dry skin. However, it’s a great eyeshadow primer and cuts the crease terrifically.

Kinda Meh

These are some of the concealers that I didn’t dislike but they didn’t wow me either.

Nabla Cosmetics Close-up Concealer

This concealer is a bit too dry but weirdly tacky and greasy at the same time. It enhances dry texture and fine lines. The finish is slightly dewy which makes the formula so confusing. The shade is a bit too light but I can make it work. I think this might be a good concealer but in a different shade.

Kevyn Aucoin Etherealist Super Natural Concealer

This concealer hasn’t been in my collection for a very long time. It was a bit drying but I could make it work. I do remember that this creased so bad. Like a few minutes into wearing this concealer and bam, creases. Creasing is inevitable but you can prevent it from happening immediately, but not this one apparently. Not bad but not the worst.

Milani Retouch & Erase Concealer

The shade was a bit too dark, especially for a shade that’s called ‘Light’. This was orange and too dark but anyway. Other than that, the formula as very emollient but feels very thick on the skin. It also creased like crazy haha.

Essence Healthy Glow Concealer

This was a nice concealer but nothing to write home about. There are other concealers that I prefer more.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

This was actually a really nice concealer. I chose the third lightest shade which was almond and it was really yellow and a bit too dark. Other than that, it was really nice. The finish was really natural. I no longer support Too Faced though, so yeah.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

This concealer is really nice but very dewy. Almost too dewy for my dry ass skin. It’s a bit creasy after a few hours but I can manage and it looks fine. The shade range though. A mess.

Colourpop Pretty Fresh Concealer

This is a new addition to the family of concealers. I do quite enjoy it and have only just reviewed it. So if you fancy a read:

Best

Catrice Camouflage Concealer

I have loved this concealer for a few years which loyal readers probably know haha. Everything about this concealer is lovely and perfect for my skin tone. The shade is a smidge too light but it works so. The finish is very natural and there’s a slight luminosity. It has medium coverage but it’s buildable.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer

The best concealer in my collection has to be this one from Makeup Revolution. Which is surprising but I love it. It has a very natural finish and high coverage which is something I normally don’t like but this formula is so creamy. It just works!

  1. Lovely post 😍 I actually really love the born this way concealer by Too Faced but like you, I don’t want to be supporting them. I actually have not tried any of the other concealers, but I am curious to try the Catrice one!

    1. Thank u lovely! I also liked the concealer, especially how natural it looked on my skin. But Too Faced did a few things that I don’t like, so yeah. The Catrice one is really nice!
