Hey loves and welcome back!
So in today’s review I want to talk about the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer. Also known as: the only primer in my makeup collection. You have heard that right. The only one. Is this product any good? Let’s find out!
I love the baby pink packaging. It gives a very sophisticated, recognizable and cute look to a normal primer. It’s also worth noting that it has some weight to it. It’s not made of flimsy plastic that feels quite cheap. The pump works very well and dispenses the right amount of product. This primer contains 30 ML for $32, β¬32. It’s also cruelty-free! You can purchase the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Silk Hydrating Primer here.
The primer feels very silky (hence the name, but really it does). Almost velvet feeling when blending it out on the skin. It’s a very smooth feeling *insert Smooth Operater by Sade* This is probably due to Dimethicone being the second ingredients, so if you don’t like that silicone feeling, stay clear of this one. If you want to know more about the ingredients of this product, I found a really cool website INCIDecoder, which explains each ingredient of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer. Click here to visit. I’ll start using this website more often to educate myself on ingredients and share them with you.
It absorbs into the skin rather quickly and leaves you hydrated and slightly tacky but not sticky. The tackinesss of the formula makes the foundation adhere better and last a bit longer. It’s definitely hydrating but I wouldn’t say it’s moisturizing. The primer hydrates the fine lines and dry patches of my face but isn’t moisturizing enough to lock in the moisture for an entire day. So I do wear a moisturizer (and sunscreen ofcourse) underneath this primer.
That’s it for today’s review. I really enjoy this primer more than I imagined I would. I still feel like primer is an unnecessary step in my makeup routine (because of moisturizer and sunscreen) but I enjoy this product nonetheless. Do you have this primer? And what do you think of primers in general?
Lots of love and see you soon!
