Hey loves. Today it’s time for a lip liner review. Not just any lip liner review but the Nabla Close-Up Lip Shaper. I’ve had this in my collection for months and it’s finally time to share my thoughts!
So this is not a new product to my collection at all. I would like to say that I have had this lip liner for about six months? Something like that? So I have had plenty of time to test it out and collect my thoughts haha. The Nabla Close-Up Lip Shaper is said to be a long-lasting, no transfer formula that glides on smoothly and offers a perfect balance between creaminess and precision. There are six shades available and I purchased the shade #2 Nude, which is the second lightest colour.
Lip liner is such a ‘boring’ product to buy but can be quite essential in achieving that nice pouty and slightly contoured look. The Close-Up Lip Shaper retails for €9.90 and is available on Beauty Bay, Boozyshop or nablacosmetics.com This product is vegan and Nabla is a cruelty-free brand!
The lip shaper really glides onto the lips. It’s creamy but has a bit of stick to it so it stays in place and is easier to control. Some lipliners are so creamy that you get intense pigmentation and messy application, but this one is really easy to apply. Once applied, it seems to set down and is actually quite long wearing.
I use this lip pencil almost all the time. Pretty much every single look is completed with this lip liner. It provides exactly what I’m looking for. A neutral shade with a bit of warmth. It’s not too orange or grey and gives the lips a beautiful definition and can contour them if necessary. I love this with my Vieve Modern Matte Lipstick in Comin in Haute or underneath a gloss like the Tower28 Milky Lip Jelly in Cashew. It gives it that extra va-va-voom that I’m looking for.
The shade #2 Nude is described as a light-medium nude beige. For me, it’s the perfect neutral colour that isn’t too cool-toned. It really compliments a lot of my lipsticks and lip glosses. It’s the perfect addition underneath.
That’s it for todays quick and short review on the Nabla Close-Up Lip Shaper in the shade #2 Nude. One of my favourite lipliners that lasts a decent amount of time and is quite universal in tone. By that I mean that it suits a lot of lipstick colours and undertones. I highly recommend these if you’re looking for a nice lipliner!
