Shade

I have the lightest shade 1 neutral, which is described as ‘for the fairest skintones with neutral undertones’. I do like the shade in terms of undertone, but I reckon it will be too dark for some very light-skinned people, such as myself.

It’s currently a tad too dark, but I can make it work when I blend it down my neck. My face is quite red, which alters the tone of my face, but it’s a great match for my neck and body.

Formula

The formula is rich and not as fluid as a liquid foundation. It has a whipped consistency, but not like a mousse. More like a moisturiser. Despite it being on the thick side, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It actually feels smooth and moisturising.

I prefer a sponge but a brush also works fine. A thick consistency and this type of texture usually means lots of streakiness, but it’s not too bad. However, I love the sponge for extra dampness and an impeccable finish.

Finish

I love the hydrated and soft glowy finish. It’s a natural dew without being too much. I don’t know if you will like this if you have oily skin, because it might be too dewy. However, putting powder on top is no issue with this foundation and it calms down the shine.

Despite the feel of slight tackiness on the skin, the foundation doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating. It’s not entirely lightweight (because of the tackiness) but it remains breathable. Any fine lines look more plump and dry patches are no more.

Final thoughts

I love this foundation and it has quickly risen to my top three foundations that I have ever tried. It’s a perfect companion to my Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop and Nabla Skin Realist. On days where I want more coverage but still a natural finish, this will be a go-to. I highly recommend!
