Oh boy oh boy. Fenty Foundations. A product I have been wanting to try since they first launched in 2017. Today I present to you: my thoughts about the Fenty Beauty Hydrating Foundation.
Remember when Fenty Beauty came out with their first Pro Filt’r Matte foundation a few years ago? I was so excited but knew that a matte finish wouldn’t suit my skin type, so I decided to skip on it. And then they announced the hydrating version and I was excited all over again. It took me a while to buy it due to low buys or a project pan. But a few months ago, I finally bit the bullet and purchased it. Here are some of my thoughts!
Packaging
I really like the squeezy tube appearance but it also has a pump which I appreciate. You get 32ML which is a little more than the average foundation. The price for the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation is β¬34-$35 which is a fair price for a mid-range brand.
I actually picked up this foundation in a little set called ‘Hydrating Complexion Essentials With Sponge’ which is $64 for $83 value. And I also picked up the set during a -25% sale, so it ended up being very cheap compared to the original price!

Formula
My goodness, I don’t know what to say. I’m actually so disappointed by this foundation. It says that it’s hydrating but it looks like a matte formula on my skin. It emphasizes my dry patches and I have quite a few on a dry day. It also puts more emphasis on my fine lines on the face so I’m not the biggest fan. The biggest problem is the undertone. The undertone is so incredibly yellow. I don’t think anyone is as yellow as this one. It just looks so off.
Yeah, unfortunately this foundation is not my favourite. The shade is not my cup of tea and the formula is probably one of the worst I have ever tried. I’m just so confused because the product has hydrating in it, but I see absolutely no hydration. If you have oily skin, you might like this. But I don’t recommend this for dry skin.
That’s it for today’s review. I always feel a bit guilty when posting a negative review but it has to be done from time to time. This is unfortunately a fail for me.
What do you think of this foundation?
Lots of love and see you next time!
